More than 500 Women Supported Little Company of Mary’s 7th Annual “In Good Company” Fundraiser
Little Company of Mary Auxiliary hosted the 7th annual “In Good Company” premier shopping event at the Beverly Country Club on Thursday, April 11, 2013. More than 500 women joined us for an exciting “British Invasion” themed evening, filled with shopping, fine wine, pastries, French delicacies, raffles, friends and one-of-a-kind finds! Little Company of Mary’s own Dr. David Roth, Anesthesiologist, played songs from the Beatles on his piano throughout the event.
The doors opened at 4:00 p.m. to premier shoppers. The venue was decorated with a“British” style. Shoppers enjoyed timeless Beatles classics while admiring the breath taking ice sculptures of Big Ben and The Palace of Westminster. More than 50 vendors filled the Beverly Country Club with original and hand made crafts, stunning outfits, paintings, jewelry, accessories, and delicious culinary finds. Every shopper received a complimentary signature British flag tote bag. The signature bag was a must have for all shoppers. It wasn’t too long into the evening to see the bags filled up with unique treasures.
Many new vendors like “Star Creations” by Stella Nolan-Thompson, made their debut at this year’s event. Stella is one of many Little Company of Mary Breast Cancer survivors and the spokesperson for the 14th annual Beverly Breast Cancer Walk that will be held on Mother’s Day, May 12, 2013 at Ridge Park. “This event is amazing!” said Stella. “You can literally find beautiful, elegant and unique treasures at this event, there is nothing like this event in the Southland. “I will certainly make it a must to attend each year whether, as a vendor or as a shopper.”
Exquisite raffle baskets featured items such as fine wines, elegant jewelry, American Girl Doll, exotic orchids, original paintings and more. Grand raffle winners included Rebecca Macklin, who won an overnight stay at The Peninsula Chicago Hotel; Joan Each Rowan won an overnight stay and a tea party for four at the Drake Hotel, and Joan Murphy won a custom duvet set made by Southtown Paint & Wallpaper.
“In Good Company” event offered premier shopping, trendy and chic finds, delicious food stations, drinks, and friends. Most importantly, this fun-filled evening raised funds that will benefit Values. Vision. Innovation: The Campaign for Little Company of Mary Hospital. A big thank you to our two presenting sponsors for their generosity and presence at the event. Dr. David Roth and Evergreen Anesthesia and Pain Management and HCR Manor Care were our big sponsors of the evening and attended the event as well.
We are so grateful to them for their support of LCMH and their participation in another successful event.
