Zoll Cardiac Defibrillator Donation to Evergreen Park Fire Department
In the spring of 2016, Little Company of Mary Hospital's Emergency Department presented the Evergreen Park Fire Department with a $7,500 donation for the purchase of a Zoll Cardiac Defibrillator. The defibrillator, which aids in advanced cardiovascular life support, is used in urgent treatments of cardiac arrest and other life threatening medical emergencies. According to the American Heart Association (AHA), using a defibrillator after a cardiac arrest improves an individual’s chances of survival.
