Wound Care/Vascular and Limb Salvage Services
Behind the double doors of Little Company's Center for Complete Wound Care/Vascular and Limb Salvage Services, a multidisciplinary treatment team is working hard to manage acute and chronic wounds and possibly eliminate the threat of amputation.
The Center for Complete Wound Care and Hyperbaric Therapy offers a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary, state of the art approach to managing patients with simple to complex wounds of various pathologies and/or disease states.
The Division of Vascular Surgery provides state of the art treatment to all patients with vascular disease in an effort to assure the highest quality of life possible. The Vascular Surgery Team is involved in the diagnosis, evaluation and management of all types of arterial, venous and lymphatic disease exclusive of that affecting the heart and intracranial vessels.
The limb salvage program provides for the multidisciplinary inclusion of the specialties of wound care, vascular surgery, nursing care, physical therapy and other disciplines as identified including, but not limited to infectious disease, nutrition, diabetes management, etc. Through the expertise of these specialists patients suffering from critical limb ischemia, are offered a team devoted to limb salvage. Our goal is to foster independence and prevent amputations associated with diabetes and peripheral arterial disease (PAD).
After the initial assessment and evaluation, each patient has a treatment plan designed specifically for their particular needs. Therapies consistent with best practice and evidence based medicine are employed.
