Center for Complete Wound Care and Hyperbaric Therapy
Behind the double doors of Little Company's Center for Complete Wound Care and Hyperbaric Therapy, a multidisciplinary treatment team is working hard to manage acute and chronic wounds and possibly eliminate the threat of amputation. The program includes extensive wound assessments using the most recent advanced topical wound care agents, vacuum assisted closure (V.A.C.) therapy; lymphedema management; ostomy care and hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
Wound care is integrated into a patient's ongoing health care with the support of the patient's attending physician. Patients are followed for a prescribed amount of weekly treatments that usually averages around six to eight weeks. Qualified wound care specialists provide weekly progress reports to the patients' referring physicians. The patients then return to the referring physician for their ongoing care.
The Center for Complete Wound Care and Hyperbaric Therapy is conveniently located at the North Pavilion entrance to the hospital with valet and nearby outpatient parking available. The highly trained staff includes qualified wound care physicians, as well as nurses and technicians who are trained and/or certified in wound ostomy and continence nursing and hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
