Little Company of Mary Hospital Completes Its Seven-Year Campus Transformation Project

Campus Transformation Project

In mid-2006, LCM completed a three-year strategic plan and a campus-wide facility plan. The plans identified the opportunity to better serve women in the Southwest area through a Women's Center, in addition to several other initiatives. During the research phase, LCM critically thought about its overall facility needs and the best time horizon to address those needs. After much analysis, discernment from the Sisters of the Little Company of Mary and guidance from community members who voluntarily serve on many LCM committees and Boards, a decision was made to address all of the facility needs in a Campus Transformation plan.

The Campus Transformation Project, which is scheduled to occur in three phases, would conclude in four to five years from the initial groundbreaking. The new Building will include many new locations for our services currently in our two oldest buildings - the Tower Building and North Pavilion.

Preliminary drawings from the architect show the best location for the new facility, called the West Pavilion at this time, to be directly adjacent to the west side of the existing Tower on the Francisco side of LCM's Evergreen Park campus at 95th and California.

Little Company of Mary has received CON approval from the Illinois Facilities Planning Board to move forward with this Project. The groundbreaking for the new West Pavilion is scheduled to begin in fall 2010. The Campus Transformation Project is estimated to cost between $150 and $180 million. Your support will enable LCM to provide high quality, compassionate health care for generations to come. Gifts may be made to Values. Vision. "God is calling us to move forward at this time to make this strong investment in our community."   - Sister Kathleen McIntyre, L.C.M., Chairperson of the Board-2013
