"Reflection"

As we approach the end of 2014, I am appreciating that it has been a year of both tremendous change and challenge for the Little Company of Mary Hospital family.  As we look back over the past six months and realize that although many features of our physical facility have changed, these changes only serve to enhance what has always been at the core of Little Company’s commitment to providing the best in compassionate, quality healthcare.

The ability to inspire others to be their best and effect change is one of the key qualities needed by those in positions of leadership.  Sr. Kathleen McIntyre, LCM, was a leader who embodied those and many other characteristics.  Anyone who met Sr. Kathleen was immediately enchanted by her keen wit and infectious spirit.  Sadly, Little Company lost this great leader in April of this year and she will be dearly missed – yet Sr. Kathleen’s legacy will live on for decades to come.

It was Sr. Kathleen’s vision of what Little Company needed to do to keep itself at the forefront of excellent patient care that led to the comprehensive four-year process of campus transformation completed this past September.   I invite you to have a glimpse of our transformed campus and hear from those who helped bring the vision into reality. You will find a unique blending of our rich 85-year heritage and contemporary design – one that reverences all that came before, yet emboldens us to move forward into the future and embrace the ever-changing healthcare landscape.

Our Values.Vision.Innovation: Campaign for Little Company of Mary Hospital is now completed.  We have surpassed our goal of $12.5 million and we have every one of you who made a gift over the past six years to thank.  We could not have done it without you, and we are humbled by your unwavering support to see the campaign through.

On behalf of the LCMH Foundation Board of Directors and staff, I thank you for your continuing generosity in support of our mission and ministry, and I wish you a peace-filled New Year 2015.

In gratitude,
