Wear comfortable clothing without metal buttons, zippers, buckles or jewelry around the waist or hips as these items may affect the results. Patient gowns are available to wear for this test. You can eat and drink before the test, but do not take a calcium supplement for 24 hours before the test. All other medications should be taken as usual.
