Seniors suffering from acute illness or chronic conditions not requiring hospitalization still need professional medical care. They may be unable to get that care, however, if they have health problems that limit their mobility, or they have great difficulty getting to a physician's office. With Little Company Mobile Medical Care, older adults who are not physically able or who may require the assistance of a wheelchair, medicar, or ambulance can arrange to have a Little Company doctor and nurse visit in the security of their own home.
Under this community outreach program, a Little Company staff physician and registered nurse make rounds in the new Mobile Medical Care van. A comprehensive plan of health care is initiated during the first visit, and follow-up Mobile Medical Care home visits will be scheduled as often as the attending physician determines is necessary for continuity of care.
