In addition to all of the conventional cancer services, The Cancer Center offers a full array of integrative therapy services for patients, such as acupuncture, massage therapy, acupuncture, yoga, and Healing Touch, and post-treatment esthetic care, including prosthetic and make-up counseling. Little Company recognizes the importance of holistic health in the healing process and is responding to the needs of area cancer patients and their families who want access to these types of services.
The Integrative Therapy Program also offers cancer patients a newsletter "Getting it Together" informing the community of events, programs and services for cancer patients and their families. The complementary therapies offered through Integrative Therapy help cancer patients better cope with the life-changing event of a cancer diagnosis. The holistic therapies provide support and help patients become confident cancer survivors.
And with The Cancer Center's Patient Advocate, who is a cancer survivor, cancer patients are reassured they are not alone. The Patient Advocate helps patients with all facets of their cancer care, such as support through treatments; library and Internet searches on disease, treatment and medications; and any other questions or concerns patients might have.
