Adult Day Center

The realization that you now need to take on the 'caregiver' role for a debilitating parent can be a very difficult transition. The Little Company of Mary Adult Day Center provides these newly found caregivers a renewed peace of mind.

The Center is the perfect place for adults with impaired physical, psychosocial or emotional abilities, and who need supervision. They receive individualized, compassionate care during the day in the home-like warmth of a group setting. It is decorated with comfortable chairs and cozy couches and has lively artwork on the walls as well as a sunny flower-lined patio. The dedicated, trained health care professionals of the Adult Day Center at Little Company offer a daytime safe haven.

Approximately 30 people are cared for each weekday at the Little Company Adult Day Center. The Center's clients suffer from illnesses such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease and dementia. Some are stroke victims. They are people of all ages, but what they have in common is a place where they can socialize and take part in stimulating activities in a safe environment.

The program can be crafted to meet the needs of caregivers, as day care is available in half-day or full-day sessions with flexible hours. The Center provides breakfast, snacks, and a hot lunch catered by the Hospital.

Staff maintains regular communication with caregivers through ongoing monitoring and progress updates. Respite care is also an option to give caregivers a well-deserved break from their duties. Within certain boundaries, transportation is available to and from the Center.
