The Joys of Volunteering

Volunteer, Clara Rock (pictured at right) achieved 15 years of service at Little Company of Mary Hospital this year, volunteering nearly 17,000 hours.  Clara was featured on ABC 7's "Someone You Should Know" on July 1, 2008.

Volunteering is a great way to share your knowledge and time with your community. Studies have shown that volunteers feel higher levels of self-esteem, control over their lives, and general well-being

Volunteers at Little Company are an integral part of the Hospital's mission, and are valuable members of the Hospital family. They perform many services which contribute to our Hospital's reputation for excellence in health care.

Our volunteers enhance the effectiveness of the many departments which serve our patients, visitors and employees. Volunteers visit with patients, assist with group activities, provide clerical assistance, work in our gift shop, deliver flowers and gifts to patients, assist with visitor reception, and work on many special projects throughout the Hospital.

Become A Volunteer

If you would like to become a volunteer at Little Company, we ask for a minimum commitment of four hours a week for one year. Your commitment allows us to use your skills to their utmost while providing quality service to our patients, visitors and staff.
