American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology
The American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (AAAAI) is the largest professional medical specialty organization representing allergists, clinical immunologists, allied health professionals, and other physicians with a special interest in allergy. It was established in 1943 with the merger of the American Association for the Study of Allergy and the Association for the Study of Asthma and Allied Conditions. In 1948, the Executive Office for the Academy was established in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. At that time, membership totaled 528. Today, AAAAI membership totals more than 6,000.
