More Patient Stories

One evening, while I was eating dinner, I was reading through the latest edition of “Rounds,” the Hospital's newsletter.  On the second page I read about a new procedure for prolapsed bladder problems at LCM.  My mother suffered for many years with a prolapsed bladder problem.  At the time she was reluctant to undergo surgery and managed to ‘live with it’ for the remainder of her life.  It was so good to hear that the problem can be repaired by what I like to call ‘magic’ surgery.

On November 26th, I was privileged to undergo similar “magic surgery.” I want to express my thanks to Dr. Cahill whose trained hands guided the surgery process.  After an overnight stay, which was my choice, I returned home with a minimum of discomfort and was able to return to my normal duties in a few days.  God bless the doctor’s magic fingers that guided the magic device.  Thanks also to all the wonderful staff (and I know there were many of you) that were involved in the process of my surgery.  I couldn’t have done it without you!

It is my privilege to minister the Sacrament for the Sick to the patients at the hospital for four hours two days a week.  I describe myself as, “have thumb will travel.”

I am happy to serve at the Hospital and assist the staff with my ministry.  I had my tonsils out at the age of seven back in 1937.  I have made it through the years with occasional stops at LCM and with their help, I plan to be around to see the new buildings.

You are all in my prayers.

Sincerely,

Rev. Joseph Seitz
