'QUIETEST' MRI SYSTEM ARRIVES IN CHICAGO'S SOUTHWEST AREA
Little Company of Mary Hospital and Health Care Centers announced the arrival of a new cutting-edge 1.5T magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) system. The system is the quietest MRI on the market during imaging. The machine aids in reducing anxiety often considered to be the most significant cause of patient discomfort during a typical MRI exam with loud, banging and buzzing noise. The advanced system is so quiet that there is no ear protection necessary for maximum patient comfort.
The 1.5T MRI delivers high-speed, high-resolution imaging that produces faster, more accurate diagnoses. It has unmatched image quality. The new system design features superior interior technology that allows clinicians to perform multiple exams without repositioning the patient providing a non-claustrophobic experience.
In comparison to other higher magnetic resonance machines, the new patient friendly 1.5T offers significant advantages including larger cabin space, shorter length bore, wide frame opening, and is less likely to cause dizziness when leaving and entering the room in comparison to more powerful magnetic machines. Most importantly, the system provides new innovative diagnostic technology designed for more a comfortable exam.

Fuld, Medical Director of Little Company of Mary Diagnostic Imaging Services. 'This type of MRI not only decreases imaging time, which is a great benefit to patients, but its imaging quality is second-to-none.'
Dr. Fuld adds that the MRI capabilities include non-contrast MRA technique that is a non-invasive angiography technique that images the arterial and/or venous system without contrast injection, which is especially useful for patients with compromised renal function. It also offers sophisticated breast imaging and guidance for breast biopsy.
