The Center for
Complete Wound Care and Hyperbaric Therapy North
Pavilion, Main Floor 708.229.6060 Behind the double doors of Little Company's Center for
Complete Wound Care and Hyperbaric Therapy, a multidisciplinary treatment team
is working hard to manage acute and chronic wounds and possibly eliminate the
threat of amputation. The program includes extensive wound assessments using the
most recent advanced topical wound care agents, vacuum assisted closure (V.A.C.)
therapy; lymphedema management; ostomy care and hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
Opening its doors in 1999,
Little Company became one of the first providers of hyperbaric therapy on
Chicago's South and Southwest sides. Hyperbaric therapy delivers 100 percent
oxygen at high pressure to patients in specialized chambers to treat a variety
of illnesses as well as problem wounds. This therapy promotes blood vessel
formation, fights infection and reduces tissue edema.
Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is
used to treat a variety of conditions including, but not limited to: chronic
refractory osteomyelitis, radiated soft tissue injury, diabetic foot ulcers,
failed grafts, and crush injuries.
The Center for Complete Wound Care and Hyperbaric
Therapy is conveniently located at the North Pavilion entrance to the hospital
with valet and nearby outpatient parking available. The highly trained staff
includes qualified wound care physicians, as well as nurses and technicians who
are trained and/or certified in wound ostomy and continence nursing and
hyperbaric oxygen therapy. For more information call 708.229.6060.
