High School or equivalent. Certification from an approved medical assistant program preferred. Will be required to complete CPR certification with bi-annual recertification. Knowledge of medical terminology required.  Previous medical assistant experience preferred. Must demonstrate skills necessary to assist the physician in a family practice office. Must have experience giving injections. Coordinates activities with the receptionist to maintain a smooth functioning office. Takes and records vital signs and patient histories for the physician. Provides patient education as needed.
