Requires a level of knowledge normally acquired through the successful completion of a Bachelor's Degree with emphasis in spiritual care, theology, psychology or other related fields; a minimum of one quarter of training in clinical pastoral education or equivalent is needed. Certification or eligibility for certification by an accredited agency i.e.: National Assoc. of Catholic Chaplains, or other national organization is preferred. Two years experience in clinical pastoral work with people in education and/or counseling equivalent. Provides pastoral ministry and counseling services for patients, their families, visitors and hospital staff. Works cooperatively with ancillary personnel to ensure the holistic approach to healthcare is provided. This is a Registry position, therefore you work only as needed. |
