Bachelor's degree in Nursing or Health Arts preferred and a current Registered Nurse license in the State of Illinois required. Requires three to five years of progressively more responsible work in community health design, implementation, coordination and evaluation of Community Wellness Programs. Must possess nursing in-depth knowledge and experience in specialty areas, i.e., clinic and general patient care and stress management. Requires ability to perform venipuncture for blood draws, immunizations for flu vaccine program and insulin administration, oximetry testing, hearing screening, and computer skills. Conducts educational needs assessment and education in lifestyle behavior changes for community members, local businesses and other private or special interest groups. As a result of the assessments, coordinates the planning, development and implementation of programs designed to meet their needs. Coordinates the work activities of the department and contractor staff. |
