A level of knowledge normally acquired through completion of a general high school diploma program. Completion of an Operating Room Technician program from an approved school, preferred. Will be required to complete CPR certification and maintain recertification. A minimum of one year experience as a surgical technician within a healthcare setting. As directed by a Registered Nurse, and taking into account the age of the patient, performs a variety of duties in the Operating Room area to assist the surgical team, including scrubbing, preparation and care of instruments, and transporting patients and equipment. This is a Registry position with no set schedule which you work only as needed. |
