A woman's journey through life is full of many rich and complex experiences. At Little Company of Mary Hospital and Health Care Centers, we see women as more than patients, symptoms or conditions. We see them as women whose stories in life have intersected with ours. And, it is our job to help them continue those stories with strength, health and wellness for years to come.

Our Women's Services for Life and Health are dedicated to caring for the whole woman. We are there for women, every step of the way. With minimally invasive technology, a team of passionate experts and a focus on better communication and convenient access, Little Company of Mary is always looking for new ways of providing care with fewer hassles and less discomfort. With this constant strive to bring improvements to the communities we serve, we continue to move forward in our pursuit of pain-free health care. Women are at the heart of most health care decisions, especially those related to the care of their families and loved ones. Women's Services at Little Company of Mary takes that concept to heart. With a new focus on gender-sensitive medicine for women through all stages of their lives, Little Company of Mary is building a new future for women in the Southwest Chicago area. We are embarking on the development of a new women's center dedicated to helping women live their fullest through healthy minds, bodies and spirits. We are developing plans for a new women's center on our campus that will house our new Family Birth Center, as well as many outpatient services for women 40 and up. Our physicians, Women's Health Advisory Council members and outside experts are helping us transform the type of environment in which we provide women's services.

In your searches, type the words "review" or "meta-analysis" to bring up articles that summarize all the research out there on a treatment: the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (NCCAM) University of Maryland School of Medicine's Center for Integrative Medicine, which has an extensive on-line library The National Library of Medicine or American Holistic Health Association for a listing of a variety of holistic health professionals in our area.
