Little Company of Mary's Pediatric department with its recently remodeled critical care unit can handle most any common childhood hospitalization need. To provide the most complete service to our pediatric patients, Little Company of Mary has a Pediatric Specialist available 24 hours, seven days a week in affiliation with the University of Chicago Hospitals Care is provided by nurses, patient care technicians and pediatric hospitalists. Hospitalists are pediatricians from the University of Chicago Hospitals who work closely with your Little Company of Mary pediatrician, surgeon or other specialists.

We also offer a pediatric critical care unit (PCCU) for children who require frequent, close observation and nursing care.
At Little Company of Mary, we not only care for children's physical health. We offer support groups that also assist with a child's emotional and spiritual health.

The Care Depot
There's never a convenient time for your child to get sick.  Sniffles, diarrhea, fever ... they're all symptoms of typical childhood ailments, but they can prevent your child from attending school or daycare.  If you have to go to work, finding trusted, last-minute care can be a big challenge.  Not anymore, you can now got to work knowing that your child is resting easy at the Care Depot in our Pediatric Department.   

The Care Depot was created for your convenience and for your child's welfare.  Bring your sick child to the Care Depot and receive nursing attention.  Here, professional pediatric nurses look after your child so you can have the confidence that your son or daughter is getting the best possible care...next to mom's of course.  We care for children from birth to 16 years of age, day or night.  We provide meals, snacks, and rest periods. 

Parents are welcome to call anytime and talk to their child or to the nurse for a progress report.  We ask that you call the night before to make sure we have beds and to reserve your spot.  Call 708.229.5393 to book your child's spot today.

Kid Support
Weekly on Thursdays, children ages 6 - 13 living with a family member with cancer are invited to join the Kid Support Program at The Cancer Center at Little Company of Mary Hospital and Health Care Centers in Evergreen Park from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. This pilot program - conceived by an educator and mom who helped her own child through her cancer - will help children share their experiences and learn coping skills to handle the changes that cancer brings.
