Kidanu J. Birhanu, M.D.
Dr. Kidanu Birhanu is a board certified internist with special interest in weight management. He is the medical director of the medical weight management program at Little Company of Mary Hospital. He is a member of the American Society of Bariatric Physicians and is in the last stage of certification by the American Board of Bariatric Medicine. Other interests and accomplishments include caring for patients after bariatric surgery and the care of leg wounds related to obesity and diabetes. As co-medical director of Little Company of Mary Hospital Comprehensive Wound Care Center he has cared for hundreds of such patients. Dr. Birhanu earned his medical degree from the University of Athens School of Medicine, completed his residency in internal medicine at Grant Hospital of Chicago (affiliate of Rush Medical School) and a fellowship in Geriatrics at the University of Chicago. His interests during his fellowship included endocrine changes during the aging process. Dr. Birhanu has served as Chairman of Medicine for four years and as a member of the Ethics Committee for over ten years at Little Company of Mary Hospital.

Evan G. McLeod, M.D.
Dr. Evan McLeod is medical director of Little Company of Mary's Respiratory Care Services. He earned his medical degree from the University of California School of Medicine in San Francisco and completed his residency at the Hospital University of Pennsylvania and the University of California. He specializes in respiratory care services.

Dr. McLeod is board-certified in internal medicine and pulmonary disease, and is certified by the American College of Chest Physicians. He is also the director of Little Company of Mary's Department of Respiratory Care, the Pulmonary Function Laboratory and the Pulmonary Medicine Section.

Richard D. Kern, M.D.
Dr. Richard Kern is medical director of Little Company of Mary's Sleep Disorders Center. Dr. Kern earned his medical degree at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas and completed his internal medicine residency at Michael Reese Hospital and Medical Center in Chicago. He specializes in sleep, respiratory conditions and intensive care medicine. Dr. Kern is board-certified in pulmonary diseases and critical care, and is certified by the American Board of Sleep Medicine. In addition to being the medical director of the Sleep Disorders Center, he is co-medical director of Little Company of Mary's Respiratory Therapy Department and chair of the Little Company ICU Committee.

 

Richard D. Kern, M.D.

Roxanne Sylora, M.D.
Dr. Roxanna Sylora is board-certified in plastic surgery and specializes in post surgical body contouring services. She earned her medical degree at the University of Illinois, Rockford School of Medicine, completed her residency in general surgery at the Mt. Sinai Hospital Medical Center and in plastic surgery at Wayne State University.
